The Cupertino firm has revealed the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro, Watch Series 5, an iPad update, alongside details on its services at Apple Park this morning.
Here’s a quick rundown of what is new.
iPhone 11:
- Same 6.1-inch Liquid Retina LCD display with Haptic TouchAluminium frame with glass back for Qi wireless charging
- Apple logo has shifted to the centre
- Dual-camera system — new ultra-wide 120-degree 12-megapixel lens replaces the telephoto on the XR, housed in a squircle that is uniform with the glass back
- 2x optical zoom out and up to 5x digital zoom
- Ultra-wide allows double the height for panorama photography
- 4K 60fps video recording with audio zoom
- Night mode – software processing automatically activates in low light
- Improved Smart HDR with ‘Deep Fusion’ computational photography (coming later via iOS update)
- Wider 12-megapixel front facing camera
- Slow-motion video now on the front facing camera at 120fps and 60fps at 4K
- 36 per-cent brighter True Tone flash with Slow Sync
- Spatial audio using Apple designed virtualiser
- A13 Bionic processor is more efficient, with more power
- Wi-Fi 6
- IP68 water and dust resistant rating
- ‘One hour more’ battery life than iPhone XR
- New colours — White, Black, Green, Yellow, Purple, and (PRODUCT) RED

- Super Retina XDR OLED display now up to 800 nits for sunlight viewing; 1,200 nits for HDR photos and HDR10 movies — 15 per-cent more energy efficient
- Stainless-steel frame with matte frosted coating for the glass on the back with Qi wireless charging
- Triple-camera system — 12-megapixel ultra-wide and stabilised telephoto cameras join the standard lens, inside a squircle

- Aluminium now made from 100 per-cent recycled material
