WhichCar: EV charging stations to link regional Australia in $100m project

The Australian Government has co-funded $39.3 million to roll out a public electric vehicle charging station link to regional and remote areas.

As part of my contributing work for Wheels Media, I produced a news story on the federal government’s announcement of a EV charging network on key national highways – each site around 150 kilometres apart – in partnership with the NRMA.

It presents an important step in Australia’s electric vehicle transition, with the 117 new fast DC charging stations to fill large blackspots in rural areas.

Information was synthesised from a media release and previous broadcast media reportage. Organised tables were also included for the list of planned charging locations.
