As part of my contributing work for Wheels Media managing the WhichCar /Electric vehicle hub, I produced a balanced and in-depth story on the problem of increasing new car prices.
Rather than only relying on car manufacturer executives, this public interest storytelling piece provided balance to the complex topic by including a diverse range of ‘talent’ – a recent new car owner, car brand spokesperson, Australia’s safety assessment authority, and an used electric vehicle importer.
Additional desk data was incorporated, including a five-year comparison of new car price changes, quotes from previous stories, road fatality data, and new car safety standards overseas.
